Mario's Pizza Information

When you're in Springfield, Illinois, and craving a satisfying slice of pizza, there's one spot that you definitely don't want to miss-Mario's Pizza. Located at 3073 E Clear Lake Ave, this cozy local favorite has been serving up delicious pies for years, making it a staple in the area. The moment you walk in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere wraps you up, and the smell of fresh pizza dough baking in the oven makes your mouth water.

The menu at Mario's is simple but effective, offering a wide range of pizzas, pasta dishes, sandwiches, and salads. Whether you're in the mood for a classic Margherita, a meat-lover's delight, or something with a bit more flair like their specialty “Veggie Supreme,” there’s something for everyone. The crust, which strikes the perfect balance between crispy and chewy, is always freshly made. You’ll find that the sauce has a nice tang, and the cheese-well, it's perfectly melted every time. For those who enjoy a little more heat, Mario's offers some excellent spicy options, like their Buffalo Chicken Pizza, which has just the right kick.

If you're not in the mood for pizza (though, honestly, that would be a hard decision to make), Mario’s pasta dishes are a real treat. The spaghetti with marinara sauce is a classic done right-light but flavorful, with just enough seasoning to make every bite enjoyable. The lasagna is a fan favorite too, with layers of tender noodles, savory meat, and plenty of cheese. You can tell the chefs really put care into making sure each dish tastes just like it should-comforting and hearty.

What makes Mario's stand out, though, isn't just the food. It’s the service. The staff here are friendly and attentive, making you feel like you're part of the family from the moment you sit down. They genuinely take pride in what they do, and that’s clear in the way they interact with customers. If you’re a regular, they’ll likely remember your name-and maybe even your usual order. It’s the kind of place where you can come in and feel at home, whether you're dining solo or with a group.

The diner itself has a casual, no-frills vibe that makes it perfect for a relaxed meal. It’s not fancy, but it’s the kind of spot you can always count on for good food and a good time. Plus, it’s conveniently located, so if you're in the area or passing through Springfield, it's definitely worth a stop.

There’s no shortage of praise from the locals, either. Reviews are consistently positive, with many people noting how Mario's is the place to go when you’re craving comfort food. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a more leisurely meal, you can always expect solid food, friendly service, and a down-to-earth atmosphere.

So, next time you find yourself near Mario's Pizza in Springfield, make sure to swing by. Whether it's for the pizza, the pasta, or just the genuine vibe of the place, you won't regret it.

What People's Say About Place

I found this place recently while looking for restaurants to go to for my birthday. I was a tad worried about some reviews that were placed on here, being apparent cockroach problems. However, I decided it would be fine, seeing as I want to try more local places. At first glance, I was given a good impression of the place. The outside looked very nice, inside looked clean and decorated, and the service was great! The service time was very quick, being around 20 some minutes for a pretty large amount of food. I personally got the Cheesy Italian Bread, Bacon Cheese Fries, and the Pasta Platter, with the Meat Ravioli and Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken, Broccoli, and Bacon, all of which were very good! If you're looking for a good small restaurant, this is the place to go!

Went in looking for pasta, they had a great selection plus a create your own option. I tried their seafood Lasagna and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I also had some spinach and feta raviolis. Delicious! My friend got some meat ravioli and liked them a lot. But the real winners for me were the fries and garlic bread!!! Incredible! Definitely a great place to stop in and try

This is a standard Italian-American red sauce restaurant with a bit of retro charm. It's a well-loved spot for locals, where staff and servers make everyone feel very welcome. You cannot go wrong when you choose their house-made Italian dressing with its vinegary bite, for your salad. The tortellini soup and traditional lasagna are no-fail choices. Their seafood lasagna--a house specialty--is rich and truly filling. For an opportunity to try several menu items, go for their lunch buffet. Salad, soup, pastas, pizzas, and a special entrée are "all you can eat". Service is consistently very, very good. Those hosting and managing are friendly, efficient and experienced.

We had a very large group tonight. Jennifer was an amazing server. We were never waiting for drinks and the food was amazing! I'll be back again soon. Next time I'm having pasta. It looked so good. We had the Buffalo, Meat Lovers and The Mario's special. All delicious. My fav was Mario's Special.

Awesome lunch buffet. Our waitress Megan was fantastic and super nice. Well worth the stop in for the lunch buffet. I will be by again when I am back in Springfield.

Food was good. I had pasta with the Alford Mushroom Sauce. The sauce was delicious. My husband had the Italian Salad and it was good. The service was friendly attentive, and fast. The menu has a variety of items.

We love Mario’s. We usually order their delicious pasta. We decided on pizza. The pizza was great and so was our waitress.

We had the weekday buffet. Our waitress was amazing. There was one gentleman who was working extremely hard to make sure the buffet had warm, fresh food. Our drinks remained full. The staff was friendly and the food was flavorful.
